You Have Godly Impact

Don’t let others define the impact you have on this world. If they don’t like you, don’t like the decisions you make or treat you harshly that’s their decision. No longer do you have to be subjected to the mistreatment of others. No longer do you have to be offended by the criticism of others. If they no longer want what you have to offer it is good to leave (I’m not referring to marriage). Jesus was unable to perform miracles in certain places not because of God but because of the people.

“Then Jesus told them, “A prophet is honored everywhere except in his own hometown and among his relatives and his own family.” And because of their unbelief, he couldn’t do any miracles among them except to place his hands on a few sick people and heal them. And he was amazed at their unbelief. Then Jesus went from village to village, teaching the people.”

Mark 6:4-6 NLT

“But if a town refuses to welcome you, go out into its streets and say, ‘We wipe even the dust of your town from our feet to show that we have abandoned you to your fate. And know this—the Kingdom of God is near!’”

Luke 10:10-11 NLT

Yesterday I noticed a traffic sign was down during a rainstorm. What originally stood vertically for drivers to see now laid horizontally broken. No longer did this sign serve its purpose. I didn’t want anyone to be injured in a car crash or possibly be injured if the sign was thrown around by strong winds. So I called an operator. Once I was transferred the women on the phone was very nice and we covered our bases to make sure the address I had given was specific enough for the department of transportation to find the location. I was told it would be taken care of within 3 days. I hoped it would be within that time frame because this is a busy city and sometimes roadways remain undone. While driving pass the same location today I saw a brand new traffic sign and fresh cement in the ground. What I was told would take up to 72 hours took less than 24. What could have resulted in multiple traffic collisions within 72 hours was greatly reduced by less than 24 hours. When you put your care and concern for others before your own you will be rewarded and your expectations will be exceeded. In due time you will be rewarded for your good works. Remember, you can do all things through Christ.

““You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.”

Matthew 5:14-16 NLT
